Gazebos are great to have in a garden or in a place with really gorgeous views.
Tips To Construct A Gazebo
Wood is the material predominantly used in building gazebos. Wrought iron and vinyl are also commonly used these days. And so are treated, painted or raw wood.
The simplest way to build a gazebo in your backyard is from kits. Kits for building several kinds of gazebos are widely available. Just select the one you want to build.
The kits come with all the components. You are left with only doing the job of assembling the gazebo. Putting all the parts together typically takes a couple of days. You should be able to get it done in a weekend.
A gazebo kit can cost anywhere from $3000 to $40,000. Choosing the right kind of kit is important.
You will also need a plan to build a gazebo.
If you have the right skills – and maybe the software too – you an design the plas by yourself. Gazebo plans are also available on the Internet. Some websites charge you for the plans.
Given below are the steps needed to build a wrought iron gazebo from a kit.
* Gather all the components on a tarp or a soft surface. This is done to avoid scratches on the components..
* Lay out the components in the order they will be used in the assembly of the gazebo.
* Begin by placing the 4 quarter pieces of the dome so that they all face one another. Using the given nuts and bolts combine two quarters to form half of the dome and then combine the two half domes to assemble the complete dome.
* This is the stage when the dome is still on the tarp that any decoration on it should be carried out.
* Turn the dome on its side and rotate it till one of the post connection pieces is on the ground. Attach the first post and base ring to the post connection resting on the ground
* Then rotate the dome a quarter circle to get the other post connection piece on the ground. Attach the second post and second base ring to the second post connection piece.
* Similarly fit in the two remaining posts and base rings
* Check out whether all the nuts and bolts are well secure and then lift the gazebo into position using a second tarp to prevent any injuries. You will need some help here.
